HORT 2001 - Principles of Organic Hort
3 Credit Hours
Study of the principles that form the basis for organic production of horticultural crops. Special attention is given to regulations, soil fertility, organic soil amendments, compost and mulches, crop rotation, plant health, management of diseases and pests, and companion planting. Students will apply their knowledge through an instructor-approved project that will be presented on-line using an appropriate multi-media venue.
