PHYL 1011 - Human Physiology 1

This course is the first of two that explore the organization and function of the human body from the level of molecules to organ systems and the integration of systems within the whole organism to maintain health and homeostasis. The course is designed around physiology core concepts that include cell-cell communication, cell membrane, flow-down gradients, homeostasis, and mass balance. Specific topics in this course include cellular physiology with an emphasis on transport, metabolism and communication, neural, endocrine, muscular, and sensory physiology. DIRECTOR: M.-S.
