Performing an accurate health assessment with diverse populations is a critical component in nursing practice. This course will focus on the development of competencies to complete both a comprehensive and focused health assessment which includes developing competencies in physical assessment. Students will develop clinical reasoning skills to interpret and document health assessment findings for clients across the lifespan. The collection of data through these skills is the first step in the clinical decision-making process to promote health, prevent illness, or manage illness.
